my own take

I had to do a little assignment this week over at Beyond Beyond. Kim sent us this image taken at the Ace Hotel. Our mission... make it our own. We were told to make whatever changes we felt inspired to make. Being one who likes to keep images pretty close to their original state, I chose to just give it a bit of a vintage feel with a slight fade. I cropped it a bit and straightened it up. Then, I tweaked the tonal curve a tad, played with split toning a little and added a vignette for fun. I'm liking the dreamy vintage feel it has now. Nice and warm, nice and grungy.
