ghost town playground

School is back in session and the parks are like ghost towns this week. I went with Brittany to play tennis and there wasn't a soul in sight. I couldn't resist grabbing my phone and snapping this little instagram photo. There was even an abandoned basketball lying in the middle of the court. Another summer come and gone. It sure went by fast...

Down For The Day

My little buddy
is feeling under the weather today.
It makes me sad
to think of him just laying there,
with no energy,
when I'm so used to seeing him
like this...

Grammie hopes you feel better soon Tate:)

Happy Accident

This week in one of my photo classes
we are studying accidental photos.
Pictures that are not planned,
that you take on accident
while adjusting your camera strap,
or paying attention to your settings,
or by bumping the shutter release button.
This is one such picture
taken two days ago at the park.
Normally I would have passed it by,
but my class forced me
to go through pictures taken this week,
really look at them,
and make something of them.
The first thing I noticed on this photo
was the velcro strap on his left shoe.
It is always coming undone.
Something you would only know
if you spend a lot of time
with this little cutie :)
It's a sweet little reminder to me
of a time in his life
that is going by way to fast.
One of the things I love
about my classes right now
is that they help me to cherish.
Cherish everyone,
everything,
every moment,
and every photo.
So glad I kept this one!

Spring Fashion

It’s hard to know what to wear
from season to season.
As it turns out,
My grandson looks great in
stripes,
checks,
and polka dots.
What a little trendsetter.

Oh Well . . . .

You know those days. . .
when everything is meticulously planned out. . .
every single second accounted for. . .
and assigned to some specific task. . .
because you have so much to accomplish. . .
and so little time to do it in?

I had one of those days the other day,
But, when I got to the lake to start my run,
I changed my mind :)
And didn’t accomplish a darn thing all morning.

Isn’t life great?
