I spent all day yesterday at a quilt-a-thon sponsored by my church. We tied 20+ quilts to give to various charities around our city. It may sound like a lot of work, which it was, but we had a blast. There was plenty of good conversation and some good hard laughs along the way, not to mention all of the cookie eating. It's amazing how much fun you can have when you are surrounded by good friends and neighbors doing something good for those in need. And, nowadays, there are plenty of people in need. Reaching out is sometimes hard to do and seldom convenient, but a great feeling always follows. Thanks to my friend Lori for putting together such a great event!!
