dog days of summer
We are now officially enjoying trudging through the dog days of summer. It has certainly been a hot one this year. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for a ten degree drop in temperature. Summers like this remind me of why I have always wanted a pool in my backyard. Wouldn't it be nice to just dive in right now? Okay, this is an indoor pool, but that would be even better, right?

All Swam Out
I went swimming with Tate today.
I was mostly there to watch,
and laugh,
and be a proud grammie.
But, of course,
there was also a little picture taking.
Okay, a lot of picture taking.
This is one of the last shots captured.
He was tuckered.
Britt said he took a three hour nap afterwards.
What a special little boy :)

Out Of The Archives
I've been taking a PHOTOGRAPHY class.
It's a composition class and I am learning so much.
This week we were asked to pull a photo out of our archives that contained certain elements of composition.
I looked through a bunch of photos before stumbling upon this one. It was taken this summer in my back yard.
Funny how such a simple photo can draw you in.
(Don't even get me started on the
CUTER THAN AVERAGE
subject in the photo).
