vintage find
My latest vintage find is these amazing, old suitcases. They have taken a front row seat on my sofa table this week. Who would have thought these old suitcases would be so popular? I remember, my parents had an old blue one. What I wouldn't give to get my hands on that now. It makes me wonder what I view as junk right now, that will someday be a valuable collectable. If only I had a vintage crystal ball...

cram session
I'll be cramming all weekend to catch up with my school assignments. I just wanted to share the first of many editing projects I'm working on right now. A soft little haze and a blanket of white added to make this vintage shot glow. I'm really loving the classes I'm taking right now. I've discovered that taking the photo is only the beginning. There is so much more creative work to do during editing. The sky truly is the limit.

all things vintage
This week over at 52 photos, we are focusing on all things vintage. I pulled out a few recently-acquired vintage items and snapped away. And, for good measure, I stuck this photo in a polaroid frame. Experimenting with different kinds of editing is hard for me. I tend to like my photos clean, crisp, and hopefully sharp. This photo is none of those things. Instead, it's dreamy, slightly faded, and has a cross-processed vintage feel. Hopefully, I've achieved that old, worn-out look.

brownie love
I've started a new collection. It's a collection of vintage cameras. They are something I have always loved to look at, and when I see one on someone's shelf or in a magazine or at an antique shop, I always tell myself that I'm going to get one someday. Recently, on our way home from vacation I stopped into an antique shop in a quaint little town. It was full of all kinds of great vintage items. I asked the owner if they had any old, vintage cameras. She smiled and pulled out this cute little 620 Brownie Junior. Needless to say, it was love at first sight. My first official vintage camera... with many more to come, I hope:)

vintage find
Last month I stumbled upon these vintage Nancy Drew mysteries at a local antique store. I just had to snatch them up. Not only do I love a good mystery, but I couldn't resist the soft hues of the covers. I've decided to try to personalize my home a bit more this fall and these will be perfect for my bedroom. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect reading chair though. I would love any suggestions:)
