The Road To Home

There's this view I see every day

on my way home from wherever.

I love the view year round,

but it's been especially pretty

the past few weeks 

with the trees in bloom

and the mountains still covered in snow.

And, if you look closely,

there is an American flag off in the distance

that blows so beautifully 

when the breeze is just right.

The sun catches it perfectly 

in the morning around 10 a.m.

I love it.

Maybe it's because it leads to home.
